Play suspended (multiple times) at the Women's Open

COLORADO SPRINGS, Co. -- Play on Friday was suspended twice: at 6:09 p.m. local time, it was halted due to lightning in the area (play resumed at 7:17); and darkness pulled everyone off the course at 8:25 p.m.

Thirty three out of 156 players have finished their second rounds, which means action on Saturday will look a lot like it did on Friday. The stop-an-go play this evening didn't do the players many favors. Stacy Lewis entered the weather delay with a two-stroke lead, then bogeyed and double-bogeyed the 14th and 15th holes to fall two strokes behind I.K. Kim. Similarly, Ryann O'Toole bogeyed two holes after the delay to fall from one stroke behind the lead to four.

"When we had to come in for the rain delay, I didn't know whether I should sit down or stand up," said Angela Stanford, who currently trails I.K. Kim by four strokes. "I was afraid if I sat down I wasn't gonna be able to stand up."
