An annual buddies trip usually starts with an excuse. In this case, it was my 40th birthday. Then you need a destination. Safe to say, I'm a fan of Bandon Dunes. Then you obviously need a gaggle of buddies. I invited my best avid-golfing friends and a few uncles who have all been taking my money since I used to stash spare change under my mattress. Once you've acquired all of those key ingredients, the rest is gravy.

As you'll see, the weather for our five days along the southwest coast of Oregon was nothing but blue skies and temperatures in the mid-60s, but we did deal with up to 50-mile-per-hour gusts of wind the first few afternoons. Throughout my nine rounds at Bandon Dunes, I shot the following pictures on my iPhone, added a filter and some tilt-focus with the Instagram app, and then tweeted 'em out to friends and followers.
