The TV station quotes an attorney for the club's board as saying it has until May 7 to reach an agreement with its lender, National City Bank. It owes more than $6.75 million on a 1999 mortgage, according to the Lansing State Journal. That same year, the company spent $7 million renovating its clubhouse (pictured), the club's web site says.
The club, with an 18-hole course designed by William Langford in the 1920s, recently had 700 members. Now that number is more like 550 to 600, WILX reports.
