Photos By Darren Carroll - In 2002, I lost my Nationwide Tour card and was bouncing around on the mini-tours not playing all that well. The only loan I ever got was a check from my mom for eight grand. I knew then if I didn't start making profits, I was done. I won my first tournament on the Gateway Tour and paid my mom back the next week, which was cool.

Attention to detail
- The only thing I'm picky about is my grips. I need three wraps of tape low on the grip for my right hand and two wraps for my left. Whenever my clubs get re-gripped, I stand there and make sure they get put on straight.

On the road
- I'm usually traveling a minimum of four weeks at a time. I don't like just sitting in a hotel room, so the Mondays and Tuesdays before a tournament I usually grab dinner and drinks with friends. All in all, a lot of the players out here keep to themselves.

Recharging the batteries
- If I'm at home in Vegas, you'll probably find me on the couch. If I'm in San Diego, where my parents and girlfriend live, it's either the beach or inviting buddies over for a barbecue and some beers.
