/ GRIND /It's how wedges are made. Cast or forged, the head is put to a spinning sandpaper wheel for finishing touches. Sparks fly. Edges are softened and curved until what's left is the perfect shape. That's the grind. Then in semantic irony, this process is how you would use the club. Your swing is gone, and you start missing greens. Left, right, short and long. All day you have to get up and down: from the bunker, from the weeds, from the mud by tree roots. Golf reveals character, and you reveal yours by not giving up. You save the hole. You grind. Exhausting, dirty work, but too often there's no choice. Here, we've put the approval stamp on 12 applicants for Best New Co-worker, the one who helps you get the dirty job done.View Hot List Ratings >>
