Golf Digest has been evaluating America's golf courses since 1966, making it the oldest ranking in the game. The 2013/2014 ranking is ready for its close up, where we welcome eight new courses to the biennial list, including a new No. 1 course edging out Augusta National.
This annual design contest offers a grand prize of $3,000, and if this year's winner attends the MacKenzie Society annual meeting at The Jockey Club in Buenos Aires, Argentina Nov. 11-14 and will receive a bonus $2,000 to help defray travel expenses.
Tim Powers, the certified golf course superintendent at Crystal Springs G. Cse., earned the top honor in the 2011 Environmental Leaders in Golf Awards, the annual program co-sponsored by Golf Digest and the Golf Course Superintendents Association of America.
