Although you or his scores may think differently, Tiger Woods is pleased with his game in 2015

August 15, 2015

HAVEN, Wis. -- You might believe Tiger Woods is lost. His performance would agree: His best major finish this year was a t-17 at the Masters; he missed the other weekends by a mile.

Always an erratic driver, Woods' fourth swing change has only amplified his tee shot inaccuracy. (His 55.16 percentage would rank 180th if he had enough rounds to qualify.) Only Seve Ballesteros rivaled Woods in his ability to grind a decent score from an unfavorable spot; the 14-time major winner now looks like your average weekend warrior when finding himself in trouble. He and his putter aren't on speaking terms.

The only unwavering aspect of Tiger Woods' game seems to be his spirit.

"Ten events this year, obviously a small sample size, but I'm pleased at the way I'm starting to hit the golf ball," Woods said after the completion of his delayed second round at the PGA Championship. "Now if I start putting like I did today or what I did at Quicken Loans a couple weeks ago, then we got something."

How he can find such positivity after finishing 15 shots back is incredible. And slightly delusional.
