If you really love golf, you should probably move to Oklahoma City

If you're a golfer looking for a new city to move to, you'd be hard pressed to find one that loves golf more than Oklahoma City.

In 2011, Golf Digest ranked Oklahoma City as the 12th best city in America for playing golf, which includes the second-lowest cost of public golf in the country. And now, according to a study from the Wall Street Journal on television ratings nationwide, it turns out the people of Oklahoma City love watching golf, too.

From the WSJ:

Oklahoma City is the nerve center of golf...The Golf Channel's highest ratings come from Oklahoma City, which isn't even a stop on the PGA Tour.

It's a good point about Oklahoma City not being a regular host of a PGA Tour event, but it's worth noting the state does host major championships quite frequently. Southern Hills (which, admittedly, is in Tulsa) hosted the 2001 U.S. Open, as well as the 1994 and 2007 PGA Championships.
