Greg Norman offers life advice, plans on living for a very, very long time

February 09, 2015

Greg Norman became famous as a great golfer. He became incredibly rich as a great businessman. And now, he's moved into the philosopher phase of his life.

On Monday, a day before turning 60, Norman took to Instagram to offer 13 pieces of life advice based on his experiences.

Nice list, but we think he forgot a couple: "Avoid really expensive divorces," and "Don't mess with chainsaws."

Of course, Norman is probably most known for a series of heartbreaking losses in major championships. His list seems to represent that, especially Nos. 4, 7 and 11. After all, nothing could have been more unexpected than that Larry Mize hole-out at the 1987 Masters.

Good for Greg for always handling even the most crushing defeats so well. And good for him expecting to live for so long. By our math, just getting to the back nine means he believes he'll be "attacking life" until he's 120. That seems ambitious, but hey, Norman remains in great shape, and as he has painfully learned, anything's possible.
