James Corrigan of the Telegraph blamed the McIlroy snub on the public. "Golf is less annoyed and more befuddled by the Rory Mcllroy snub in the BBC show' on Sunday. Acclaimed course architect Tom Doak has introduced his new edition of "The Confidential Guide to Golf Courses, Volume 1: Great Britain and Ireland." It is his "long-awaited follow-up to his now more than 30-year-old underground classic - penned when he was on a 12-month post-graduate trip funded by his alma mater, Cornell University," John Huggan writes in the Scotsman. On a scale of zero to 10, only three in Scotland warrant a perfect score: The Old Course at St. Andrews, Royal Dornoch and Muirfield.

"Adam Scott says he has no plans to abandon the long putter despite a difficult week on the greens at the Australian PGA Championship, in which he missed four putts that would have won him his second Joe Kirkwood Cup," writes Phil Lutton in the Sydney Morning Herald.

"If we could put Lee Trevino in a time machine and back on Tour, golf again would have a personality — and a sense of humor," Brian Schmitz writes in the Orlando Sentinel. "Heck, if the planet just had more clones of Lee, it would be a much more enjoyable place. While his game and gait have slowed at 75, Trevino's popularity as a links lounge act has not.

Bless you, Merry Mex."
