Watch Rory McIlroy make a mess -- and make the wildest par of 2014

October 15, 2014

The second and final round of the PGA Grand Slam of Golf wasn't one to remember for Rory McIlroy. The 25-year-old star shot 75 to finish third in the four-man field, eight shots behind winner Martin Kaymer, who beat Bubba Watson in a playoff.

McIlroy also got his white pants dirty while attempting a shot left-handed from a hazard on the 17th hole at Port Royal Golf Course in Bermuda. On the bright side, it led to one of the most unusual pars you'll ever see. Here's footage of the entire hole:

McIlroy's lefty shot wasn't as impressive as his righty chip-in, but it was certainly entertaining. Oh, and Rory, we're pretty sure Nike will send you a new pair of pants if those stains don't come out.
