There is some history with the putter that Players champion Martin Kaymer had in his bag this past week at TPC Sawgrass.
The Ping Karsten Anser 2 that the German used to hole the critical 27-footer for par on the 71st hole and the clinching putt from three feet, seven inches on the 72nd hole Sunday was the same putter Kaymer carried when he won the PGA Championship in 2010 and that he used to hole the winning putt for Europe in the 2012 Ryder Cup at Medinah.
The club debuted in 2009 and sold for only $90.
