"One of the things I'm most proud of looking back in my little black book is that my career had a lot of consistency." -- Byron Nelson
The PGA Tour sets up shop this week in the Lone Star State for the HP Byron Nelson Championship. Lord Byron won 52 times during his Hall of Fame career, and his performance in his 1945 season still serves as the model of consistency -- not to mention dominance. Nelson recorded 18 wins that year including the likely never-to-be-broken steak 11 in a row!
Consistency was Nelson's signature off the course as well. His style was simple, traditionally and totally cool: a white cap, dark sweater, tan trousers. These pieces are classics for a reason. Maybe you can replicate Nelson's golf skill. His fashion sense, however, is easily repeatable.
