Son of SLDR: TaylorMade shows off 'mini' driver to tour staff at Doral

If you had your eyes open on the range at the WGC-Cadillac Championship, you would have noticed some players checking out a driver that wasn't really a driver. That's because TaylorMade brought its yet-to-be-released SLDR Mini to Trump National Doral to show to its tour staff.

The word "mini" seems accurate: The clubhead looks to be in the range of 250 cubic centimeters, and the shaft length appears shorter than a normal driver and more like a 3-wood. Also, the club doesn't have the sliding weight of the SLDR driver or an adjustable hosel, and its color is more of a satin silver.
