October 11, 2013

__The Koepka effect__When Brooks Koepka vaulted to the top of the Frys.com Open leader board on Friday he further validated what could soon become the norm for PGA Tour success. With Qualifying School now only offering a path to the Web.com Tour, Koepka was one of the few Americans to make the European Tour their professional home. A win from Koepka this week, or even just a strong showing, would likely inspire more aspiring professional to follow his path.

__Wait...Nick Faldo's not invincible?  __Unfortunately not. His much talked-of Champions Tour debut came to an abrupt end Friday when he was forced to withdraw early with an elbow injury. On behalf of all the people who idolized Faldo growing up (cough, cough) and were excited to see him tee it up again, here's hoping this injury won't be for long.
