Rose headed across the Atlantic on Sunday to start his Open Championship preparations. Pictured are British Airways pilot captain Greig Law and first-officer Francis Gray.
Any time you're flying with a major championship trophy with your name on it, you're
doing something right.
Rose has remained stateside since firing at Merion's wicker-basket flagsticks three weeks ago, first touring some U.S. talk shows and then honoring his commitment to play in the Travelers Championship the following week.
Will Rose contend at Muirfield? Odds are, he will. We haven't had a repeat major champion since Padraig Harrington won the British Open and PGA Championship in less than a month span in 2008. So maybe we're due for one.
