Trending: In honor of Dick Clark; golf bloopers and practical jokes

April 19, 2012

We lost a television icon yesterday, when the "world's oldest teenager" Dick Clark passed away at the age of 82. Though a mainstay throughout his career, most remember Clark as the host of American Bandstand for 30 decades, and for his reign as the face of the Times Square New Year's Eve celebrations. Most people, that is, except for me.

As a child of the 80s, my fondest Dick Clark memories stem from his stints on the $25,000 Pyramid, and alongside Ed McMahon on TV's Bloopers & Practical Jokes. So what better way to celebrate the life of a man who has probably spent more time in front of more generations of people, than with a few laughs watching some golf bloopers? This one's for you Mr. Clark.
