Roger Clemens' golf habit

April 03, 2009

The Toronto Star has a review of Jeff Pearlman's book on Roger Clemens, "The Rocket That Fell To Earth," in which it discusses Clemens' golf jones while playing for the Blue Jays.

Clemens, Pearlman writes, "expected every major facility to acknowledge three things: 1. Rogers Clemens is great. 2. Roger Clemens never pays for golf. 3. By 'never,' Roger Clemens means 'never.' He was outraged when The National Golf Club in Woodbridge demanded he pay the going rate: $1,000 for his foursome."
