Australia's lament: No green jacket

April 06, 2009

Thirty-three Australians have played in the Masters, yet not one has ever won the tournament, as Trevor Grant laments in the Herald Sun.

"We unbolted the America's Cup in 1983 and even snared a Winter Olympics speed-skating gold medal," he writes, "but in a sport in which we have been traditional high achievers we can't crack it at one of the most prestigious events.

"Oh for the day when we can stop weeping over all those old tapes of (Greg) Norman at Augusta."
